Kosher Catering 101 |
Tele-seminar Format--August 25, 2008--What is Kosher? And why
is it important to know the laws of Kashruth as a Meeting
Planner, Catering or Conference Services Manager?
We’ll answer those questions and many more during our Kosher
Catering 101 teleseminar scheduled for Tuesday, September 2nd
at 9 am PST. We’ll start at the beginning for everyone who is
new to Kosher food - what does it mean to be Kosher, the
traditions, preparation and service of Kosher foods; and how to
sell Kosher events.
We’ll cover some of the major Jewish holidays like Rosh
Hashanah or the Jewish New Year as it is commonly known; and
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement and explain why that is
probably the most important holiday of the Jewish year. Other
holidays covered will include Succot, Hanukkah, Purim,
Passover, and many more of the holidays of the Jewish year.
We’ll talk about the celebrations for birth, weddings and
mitzvahs. Checklists for menu planning, weddings, mitzvahs will
also be discussed.
Join me on Tuesday, September 2nd for this interesting overview
of Kosher catering. We’ll take the unknown out of Kosher and
give you the tools to planning more Kosher and Kosher-Style
events. If you’re unable to join us on September 2nd, don’t
worry. You’ll be able to register for the program and listen to
the recording of our session whenever it’s more convenient for
you.
